The Winchfawr Lodges are popular for those seeking breaks in a region of Wales with officially recognised scenery that is steeped in history. Close to Merthyr Tydfil (the largest ironworks town in the world at the turn of the 19th century) the Lodge boasts lots of historical places to visit in its surrounding area.

This includes the famous Cyfartha Castle and grounds and the famous Brecon Mountain Railway and both are a mere stones- throw away. For the more energetic the Cardiff to Brecon “Taff Trail” cycle route is close by and for walkers there are a myriad of trails and mountains to enjoy the breathtaking Welsh Countryside at your own pace and leisure.

With easy links to the motorway and to Cardiff the nation’s capital city the Winchfawr Lodges are the perfect place to stay if you enjoy affordable luxury set within breathtaking surroundings.

Our three lodges have all received a 4 star rating from Visit Wales and offer something special for the discerning customer. Make no mistake when you book one of our lodges you will not be disappointed.
All of our lodges are self catering and all are non smoking. We provide the highest quality fixtures and fittings and all come with a stunning fitted kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.
